Pit Bull Terrier - Bart - Medium - Adult - Male - Dog
Bart is an adult male Pit Bull Mix who is super friendly with everyone he meets. He has retained a puppy look in his face but his teeth look like he's middle age. Of course, that could be due to a bad diet or excessive play with an abrasive toy. Bart came to our shelter as a stray and was never reclaimed by his owner. Bart has not had a lot of training so his enthusiasm for life can boil over at times. We are working on this. My impression is that Bart belonged to someone who either didn't have much experience with dogs, or didn't care to put in any time or effort with him, so he sort of grew up un-learned. But he is a smart dog, and we are making progress in discouraging bad habits, like jumping up for instance. He rarely does that now. With a little work Bart will be a wonderful companion.
